 Last week for the Whetu Challenge we had to make a digital wrapping paper that is Christmas theam. I did not finish it last week but this week we went into our homerooms and we had some time to finish off something including making the wrapping paper! I finally finished it! when the teacher was showing us what to do for the Whetu challenge and for the wrapping paper there were levels like the Santa level, Elf level, and the Raider level. I chose the Raider level and we had to make Christmas trees!!!!

  This week for Chater Chat I did the ten facts for Gorillas. I did the facts in the clouds because the Gorilla is flying in the air. Most facts I did I did not know about! Like, some Gorillas in captivity learn how to do sign language! this was very fun and I learned a lot!

 This Chater Chat I did a parashot and we had to bring our own stuff from home to make it and luckily I was at my mum's because my mum has all the creative stuff! The stuff I used was a Bag, Bollen, Bottle Cap, Cared Bord, and string. First, we made a set out of the Bottle Cap and the Cared Bord. Then I cut the string in half and glued it on, on both sides of the set so it looked like a swing. I made a hole in the bag and made a note and then I put the Bollen in the bag and taped the bottom of the bag and that is my parashot.  Today we solved the crime! Mrs. Taaffe came in this morning and she comfiest it was her! She said that she came to the school to put stuff away and she needed to use the HDMI cord, so she sneaked in Whetu to use it. She saw some chocolate so she grabbed some but some fell but she stole 18 CHOCOLATES!  She said she thought someone was coming so she ran to the door and she could not open it so she cut her hand on the side of the door and ran out! The crime was in Whetu in my class. This crime happened on Sunday on the 11th of Oct! At 3pm. I thought it was Mis Taaffe who was the person the whole time because she had the most fingerprints and she wheres Scrunchies she had the right size for the shoe size and she had a cut on her hand and that is the height of the door.

 For Grammer Cop We had to do ashet with some grammar you had to spot out on a pice of paper and a do a slide.

 I finished my whodunnit I am so proud of my self I took a lot of pride in this! It is two pages long. In my story I get DNA from a hair I found and My sister and my friend get kidnaped by my teacher. anyway, in the end, I wake up and think it is a dream but when I look to my side my teacher is there and that is the end. So my story is not like some other stories that do all this juicy stuff and then it is just a dream boring! That is why I like my story because it is different!  My story

 My Wanted poster is finished now and I think it was so hard to get my face right and Identical. We had to write why the person you were drawing was wanted. And you had to write what age it is. So I write Age 10:Why: Running over a cat. :Reward: 3$.

 Today I did this code thing and one of the codes was this MPPL DBSFGVMMZ UP VODPWFS UIF DMVFT. That was Look carefully to undercover the clues this was easy because we have done the codes thing before but it was a little hard on the second one but this was fun.

 2 Blog Challenge is about Halloween! This week I did the 2 Blog challenge and it was all about Halloween and we had to write like what was the meaning for Halloween and what was the meaning of trick or treating and all that other stuff. This was really fun for me because we calibrate Halloween because my dad loves it mainly because we are American and back their dad always did it there.

 This week for the letter of the week the letter was C and this letter was a bit hard for me because I do not know a lot of words that start with C so ya it was a bit hard. but when I did a little more words that start with C I kinda got the hang of it so that was good. I was proud of myself. The hardest bit was having to write a sentence that had to have a lot of words that start's with C. 

Yesterday it was Athletics. I did High Jump, Shot Put, Long Jump, 100mts, and 200mts. For the high jump, I was really proud of my self because I jump my highest and that was... 96ct meters. The 200mts was hard because that was the last event I had so I was so tired but I made it to the finals and I came sixth in that. The Long Jump was fun because when I jumped I felt like I was flying. In the middle of Long Jump, Mss Coles called that the 10-year-olds could run the 800 meters and I did it, it was optional and I came 5th or 6th! Before High Jump, I was a little scared but when I did it it felt good. The long Jump was the easiest because I felt  I just had to run up and jump but the second jump it was no jump just because my big toe was just in the end. I used Resilient because on the High Jump when I missed a jump I did not give up. Either all I had a great day.😃

This is my letter of the week and this week the letter is...... R. We have this sample to help us with what to write with the letter. This is what we have to copy. I did the words different coler to make it pop! For me, I look at this and think about what word or sentence with the letter we have got. Here is my work

 My letter of the week. this week the letter was N and I had a lot of words that start with N and some that end with N and that rime with N! When I say the words I get a pitcher and match the word. like when I say nerd I have a picture of a nerd.

 Lifting my fingerprints! Today my homeroom was doing lifting our fingerprints.  Step 1:Rube your finger or fume on your hair. Step 2: Put your finger on the window. Step 3: Put a piece of tape on your fingerprint then rube where your fingerprint is.  Step 4: Put the tap off and you will have your fingerprint on it and put in on a black piece of paper. This was really fun!

 Today we did fingerprint g and we all did the rolling fingerprinting. So we could see if we have a Loop or a Whrol or arch! I have 4 arches, 4 Loops, and 2 whorls. On Tuesday police came in and she showed us some really cool stuff like? When solving a crime and you see a fingerprint you lightly put dust on it and then put some jellyton on it and draw a two or facing upwards and put a number on it. then you put it off and there are a lot more things that she showed us!! For the fingerprinting, we went in buddies and I went t=with Marly and we helped each other so we held our fingers and helped to roll the finger.

 When I walked on the deck I saw police tape I was a little worried when I saw the cracked window. I walk into the classroom and I saw a smashed flower pot with blood. Then I saw milky ways all over the ground. I saw footprints, a mug tipped over, and liquid spilling out of it. When I was looking around the classroom I saw something on the wall and it was a sign that said Whetu command center. That morning we did not have to put our avatar across because the crime scene tape was around the scene and the avatars were inside the tape said the crime scene do not enter poise. When the whole class sat down on the mat we talked about the crime scene and the teachers said that a person has broken in here and did some stuff like eaten some of the milky ways and smashed pot. the teacher said that we have to try and solve the crime! we got this from and we had to fill it in we had to draw the crime scene and see what we could find in it. We have to find advice to see who it was. I have found...

Last week we made crystals that we could paint with. We could paint whatever we wanted and I painted and S with flowers and spider webs around the S and I am so proud of that! when the crystals on the black piece of paper they crystalized and it looks very cool!

 This week in an inquiry the people that bout bottles and make greenhouses. and we had to go and get some soil but first, we had to cut your bottles. We had to bring a bottle that is 1L. We had to chose to have a flower seed or something that you can eat! I chose the flower because they are pretty!

 This week I did the maths mystery as well.  the last clue was hard but I had some help from Kristeen. This was fun.  Thye first clue was that the culpert is yellwo! The second clue was that the culpert has a mouth! The threed clue was that the culpret had arched eyes! the 4 clue was that the culpert has an accessory halo! SO THE CULPEART IS YELLWO HAPPY SMILING ARECHED AND HALO!!

  This is my Letter of the week and I think I put way more effort in this letter of the week than the other one I did. And I am so proud of my self!

  This Literacy mistory was hard but the clues were kinder easy at the same time the first clue was hard. The other clues were easy because they were similar to the other maths mystery fun things so yay! The culprit had blonde hair. The culprit was American! The culprit is 18! So the culprit is HUGO COOPER!!!

 Today I chose to do a roll a story and we had to roll a dice and find out what the main character you get and where the setting is going to be and what the problems going to be. and I got a Jinny and the beach and the problem was turning into a tomato!! at first, it was hard to make a story out of those things but then I thought and had the idler so it was easy after that.

 This week I went into since and the first day we made borax crystal with my group in my group, Haven, Lola, Carmen, and Marley. first, we had to make a shape with a pipe and Haven did the shape then we got a cup from the kitchen Then we put hot water in the cup and borax in the cup. We had to stir it up so we could not see it then we tied the shape on to a string and the string on a lice block stick. The day after Crystals were in the cup and grown on the pipe!! It looked so cool and it was so fun looking at it and making it! Today we are making sugar. 

 This maths mystory was so hard but really fun it had some bad things that I did not know but my friend Lola helped me and I am so happy and thanks to full that she did that. It was fun because it was hard. I was so happy after I figured it out yay!!!!!!  The person that stole the metal was..... CLAIRE WHITE! I have done all the working out here it is!

 This maths mystery was so hard I bring it home and mum helped me with it. it was way harder than the others but it was better for me to do a harder one to challenge my self. But I know which person it was...... IT WAS COURTNEY CHIN!!!! I loved this maths mystory it was fun.  The culprit Was in ART CLASS the culprit came to school by....... BIKE! the culprit had Long hair! 

This was hard because I dod not know words with the letter g in it that much. So it was challenging but that was good for me to do a challenging thing for me. The righting was the easy course I had already had it in my head.

 This week is te Reo Maori week and we are going to do some challenges and right now we did this challenge where we had to choose a phrase from a slide and learn how to say it and I chose to say Karawhiua!! Karawhiua means give it heaps and give it all you got. I had to video my self saying it but it didn't work but I do know how to say it so that's good here are my slides!!  

This week we did a writing sample and I think I did a good job and I think it is the best story I have done! My story has got excitement and some girls get lost in a well where some trees are... After we did the writing sample on our devices Miss Mac printed them out we had to re-read it to see if it made sense I missed some words and made some mistakes. but I did edit it and make more sense and sounded better than it was before! The story is like there are three best friends called Haven, Lola, and Shirley. and they went over to Lola's house to have a sleepover and they went to Lola's creek but then they got lost and......

This week I got in the cooking group! It was so fun. On the first day we talked about safety in the kitchen and who would bring what. On the second day, we had to bring our vegetables and we cut up the food and I kinda got to eat some of my own food hehe. On the last day, it was time to eat the soup we got to have bread and butter with the soup it was yum to dip the bread in the soup. the hard part was cutting my food because I did not want to cut myself!! the easiest part was eating it because it was so yummy that was my fav part too!! It was very healthy. It was cool that I sat near my best best best best friend! It was cool how I learned to make the soup so that was cool. The stuff I bring is Karits, tomato, and red cabbage. 

This was fun and I learned how to use them so that was helpful haha.

Now we are doing new maths worksheets we have to do one every day. we are learning to add one hundred numbers together. By adding the one hundred's numbers first together and then the tens and the ones.

For inquiry, I'm learning way more about plants and now in our homerooms, we do this thing like we have to write this story that you have to pretend that you are a plant and talk about Photosynthesis. Photosynthesis is a progress that the plant goes through and I rent a lot!!!

This week we have done five Emoji coordinates and some of them were hard like the unicorn because I did a mistake. but they were fun and some of them were easy here is my work!

I have learned about the Spix's macaw it is a bird that can speak and that can fly and claw its prey. its prey is mouses, and,, rats little stuff like that I did not know about this animal before I did this.

This maths investigation this week was anticlockwise and just clockwise we had to cut animals out and do what it says on the top it says like this we have to put it halfway for anti or clockwise or like tutor anti/clockwise stuff like that and we had to do two worksheets for like anti/clockwise and I have done that it tricked me on the spider because it was different with the head was on the bottom. so I had to start again on the spider and some of my other animals because I just copped of that. but the clockwise one was easy so that was funny! here is a pic.

Whetū Workshops Reflection During Term 2 and 3 the Whetū students have had the opportunity to be involved in a range of different workshops. The workshop that I have enjoyed participating in the most has been science because I have learnt the most from it and it is so fun. The new learning that I have learnt is that vinegar and baking soda makes gase it can blow up a bowlen. And I have learnt how to make a pom bird it was very hard and fun, unfortunately, mine brock. What I have most enjoyed about the workshops are that you can learn about things and that they are so much fun when I know how to do what we are doing. I am interested in learning more about water because it is yum and because I have learnt lost of stuff about it and that I want to learn more!

my art is four species with the same donuts that say pop! but they are all different colors. I think it is very good. I have worked so well I think it will be the greats art I have done so fare. The whole class and I did pop art. you had to choose colors that pop together not bled but be different and pop together. I did donuts because I love donuts. the easy part was drawing it because I had a whole idea in my mind.

I and Lilly did this mah's literacy. at first, we did a mistake so we started again and we got it right. The animal that stole the carrots was peter the rabbit we knew it was going to be him but we kept doing that so yay.

This is our research. What is it?'' We had to research about should animals be in zoos like pros and cons. We had to choose if we were going to show our research in a brochure or an ad or a poster. I chose to do a brochure I think that animals should stay in zoos because they get food and its a safe place that's what I think.

This week we had to do this thing like you try to trick peepholes to think what animal there's is so you know how I did the Spix's macaw we had to do these sentences about your animal. you had to do one sentence that what is their habitat and one that like I have..... and stuff like that and some people have to guess which animal it is so it was hard to thunk but we did our research so that help.

For cross country, it was really fun. and I got the first place I am so proud of my self. the hards thing was not stopping when I was on my second lap I wanted to stop but I did. I had to do 2 laps it was easy but not. The first time we start running but then we had to stop and start again just because we had two girls missing from our race but that's ok. I was running in the 9-year-olds just because my birthday is on the 16th of august. and cross cunty was on the 14th. but it was fun because I was watching my friends and cheering for them and they were cheering for me. I ran faster when I hard my friends cheering for me!. it was really fun. here I am.

I did this at home and I did copy it on my computer. It was hard to get everything great but I made it and I am proud of my self. here it is!

I did this at home I am used to it so it was really easy. I had no help the number I did was 72.

This is my group we did real good! I think I did really well because when I was almost done I could not cover it and then my group told me how to so I had to start all over again I was a little sad about it but I did make it every way I am so proud of me that I made papa pigs dad! I think that I did a great JOB! I think animals were a great group and of course, I think we did the best but that is only because I am in it. so I think that animals are my fav.

This was fun! but I have already done it before but it was fun to do it again because last time I did it and it was bad but this time it was good!

This was very fun just because before I learned about the Spix's macaw I did not even know that there was a Spix's macaw in the world but now I do so that was fun! I would love to do this again with a different animal.

This week the questions were different but I made it through and I like getting stuff done early because I feel good after I get something done! here it is and the awners.

This Whetu was really fun because it was very different. I worked with Haven and Lola. the best part for me was building it because I had some blending time with my friends. it was so funny when it dropped just because in my mind I thought it would float because it was so windy but then it went strat down and we ran down and when I pulled it up the egg was broken but it was funny. me Haven and Lola used seller tape, scissors, whole, newspaper, balloons, and a bag it was fun! and funny!!!                        

I have looked at kids news it is a web site and it is cool it is a reading web site and there is always a quiz at the end here is one!      How long will each flight last? Will passengers be able to wear regular clothes and shoes? no, they have to were spacesuits.  What is an apogee? the highest point in the development of something; a climax or culmination. How long will passengers train for?  90 minutes I think?   How many people have paid deposits for tickets?  

miss mac has set up a maths thing we have to finish every week it is sometimes hard and sometimes easy but we have to do this for the rest of the team. this is what it looks like!

this week miss mac has made up a maths mystery! it was very fun and I did not look at the answers at the bottom I worked it out on my owen! I did it on my owen. it was hard writing it down but then I find out that we did not have to do that!:/ but the parit that stole the treasure was!!! TESSA THE TERRIBLE!! 

This week the word was oblivious and that mean blid.

This was cool this week because it was not that hard as the other ones. this one was only ever because we only had to crack codes. on one cod I was a little stuck but then I figured it out.

I have done a reflection I think it was really good. It was nice doing it telling what was challenging this term and what was really fun bout this year it is really cool it was nice telling it out a load on the pice of paper.     The new learning activity that I have enjoyed the most this term is T T rockstars because I have really improved with my time tables. I like the options as well because we get to choose what we want if we are not in art But I love art so it’s great either way. Something that has challenged me this term has been The math mysteries. They are fun but sometimes it is really hard for me to understand the clues It is fun but hard. It is good for me to learn new things though so it gets easier when the next one we do next week.     The Whetu Challenge I enjoyed the most was creating paper airplanes because I want to fly up into the sky. we have been doing Matariki jigsaws and I have a lot from this like on Matariki they eat food like fish kerma. food like that and I have learned that they make kites. here is one of the pice of paper. we are going to cut it out!  

this was really fun but it was hard doing all the food and cancer later. I really want to go for a tour of russell. 

EGG CARTON CREATION This week for our Whetu Challenge we created something using egg cartons. I was hoping to make a  chicken race but we  I did not have much time to make our creations. But I did have lost fun!  The hardest part was painting I  was there the whole time but at least my creation has got cooler. I used an egg carton, paper, paint, and fever.  I have seen a lot of great creations and I love to see that so I am sol happy to see that and that my creation was really good.

This week it was a really hard word to find a sentence. I think I found out what cacophony means it means like it sounds.

This blog challenge was really  fun because   could create my own room but the mess is the same  as my room in life!.

This maths challenge was really hard this time but it was fun every time it is! I worked with Scarlett and Marly. we had to change our answer because we found out that there was a multiple. We thought it was a time table. But the MURDER IS (AMALIA!!!!!!!!!)

We have started to do a number of the day. you have to go to whoogle and you will see you go on your lriening doc and you will number of the day here is the second  one I have done.

Whetu Challenge - Paper Planes Today our challenge was to design an accurate paper plane. We were given a draft piece of paper to trial and a good piece to use once we had tested the accuracy of it. Before we started I thought this challenge was going to be Making Ice cream because I was hungry still. I decided to use the design of the one my brother tout me because before a did not how to make one but now I do! The hardest part was doing the folding because you had to get it parr fact. During our competition time, I managed to score flying because I did not score the energy thing. b ut I had so much fun.

This word was funny because I was achily bewildered at the time but it got easy. It got easy because and wordhippo help me a lot. It was hard finding a picture but then I found one and the picher help me with the sentence.

Today I worked with OJ and Scraltt it fun because I have not worked with them before. This one was kinda easy but hard at some parts like a clue 3.

This is what I did with the teacher Mis mac and my group. We read  a book and we did some questions I think I got them all right. I love reading and This book was interesting I would not normally choose a zoo book.  

This was really fun when I looked at the thing I had a whole idea in my head. I think I did really good because now I want this for my birthday. I would love like pop out stuff from the side!  I love the joke this is what it is why did the cat bring soup to your party? because he thought it was a soup prise party.

This one was fun and different because the teacher showed and told us that we had to do the who, what, where, and when. It is way easier this way.

Last Saturday I went over to Lola's house and Haven came too. Lola and her family went down to there creak and got some clay when me and Haven came over we had the clay when I got home from Lola's. Me and mum made some creation's I made a spar mum made a flower i think they looked really good mum did too. it was hard making it because the clay keepd on foling down But I did not give up so here is my creation that I made and my mums creation.

This was a hard word this week but it was fun. it was very different this week than last week.

This Sick sentences were really easy because we got the hang of it but it was really still fun.

Today I worked with Lola we got comfrust on clue 1 but we had some help so then we got the idea and we fegerd out that the Pancake pincher is SEB!!!!!!! it was fun!

this has been so cool doing this because it was cool doing my self that I think I would look like. and I think I will look like that I want my self to look like that!

Tennis Ball Tower Challenge Today for our Whetu Challenge we worked in a group to build a tower out of newspaper, 2 straws and sellotape. We needed to make our tower strong enough to hold a tennis ball and be able to stand alone (not leaning on anything or needing support). Today I worked with Haven and Lola it was really fun working within them again. At first we had trouble with the tower standing up! But at the last minute it worked. The easiest thing was sellotaping it all together but it was still hard but that was the easiest bit. The best part of our tower was the news paper that went perfect. Our tower looked kinda good we did not expect it to look like it looks like  but it was our first time so it went well. In the end it let the tennis ball stay up for a wile it kinda fell down but it was fine.
